Hi. I’m Rob (L’il SQUID) Nelson

I live here in the fabulous Hutt Valley, which is just a few minutes away by road or rail from the Coolest Little Capital in the World – Wellington, New Zealand (Lonely Planet and I agree on that one).

Currently, I’m working on a Doctorate of Professional Practice through Otago Polytechnic/Capable NZ in Dunedin, and I have to say it’s the most challenging and exciting learning journey I’ve ever been on.

If you were to ask me what gets me excited, in no particular order the responses would be:

• Spending time with my wife and our beautiful Cat Daughter
• Learning something new every day
• Coaching people to work on collaborative projects
• Seeing my Li/MiTs (Leaders-in/Managers-in-Training) achieve professional and personal goals they didn’t think they could
• Photography
• Reading- both fiction and non fiction
• Gym and pool sessions (never thought I would say that, once upon a time)

Getting up in the morning has a very simple purpose behind it for me – that means it’s time to go MAD (Make A Difference) for somebody again.
